Bowling green marsh

Watched from 08:00 till  13:00

A look around the hedges to start with showed a big increase robins around the marsh and chiffchaffs every where with probabley double yesterday's total , 4 blackcaps, and 12+ goldcrests, 4 Cetti's warblers, plenty of skylarks over heading north.

1 spotted redshank from the hide, 1 juv female peregrine.

from the viewing platform

with a low high tide most waders stayed on the mud on the far side totals from the morning were 85+ knot a good count for this end of the estuary , 8+ curlew sandpiper, 6 sanderling, 70+ grey plover, 20 avocet, 30+ bar tailed godwits, 2 golden plover, 2 ringed plover, 1 osprey again down of mudbank.

as usual these days plenty of disturbance over the morning from kayakers , speedboats, and dogs, made counts hard  and for a very frustrating morning around the marsh
