Exmouth & Sidmouth

With apologies for somewhat delayed postings

EXMOUTH - Exe off Shelley Beach.

3 Goldeneye on Wednesday afternoon very actively feeding at the edge of the mussel beds at low tide.     This is a regular location for them but note that the normal best window of opportunity is approximately 1 hour either side of low tide.

SIMOUTH - Jacobs Ladder.   Thursday 6th Dec.

3 Purple Sandpipers mixing with a flock of 18 Turnstones.    The Sandpipers were difficult to see on the sea defence 'islands' but came over to the foreshore rocks under the footpath approx 2.5 hours into the ebbing tide.     This is a smaller number than previous years - so far.
