Mansands

A bit on the chilly side this morning! A Redpoll was calling from a tree by the carpark when I got out of a warm car. Something unusual for here was a Swan flying down the valley towards the marsh, but it didn't stay and flew towards Sharkham. On the marsh were the usual Mallards (32), Teals (37) and Moorhens (11), also 9 Gadwalls (5 males 4 females) and a nice surprise - a male Wigeon feeding at the bottom end of the marsh. There were also 29 Snipe, 5 Water Rails and 2 Grey Herons.
