Slapton Ley

Leading a group from the Salisbury Natural History Society on a tour of South Devon saw us reach Slapton in mid-afternoon. Not much at Torcross save a few Swifts but at Slapton Bridge the Purple Heron came out of the north ley, flew over us and landed on the east side of the ley in thick reed cover - a great experience for the group! Also had 4 Whimbrel over and good views of Reed Warblers.
