Rillage Point

06.55–08.30, ENE4-5, overcast & cold with patchy light-moderate rain: 8 Sandwich Terns and 19 Common Terns moving up the Channel, plus 2 Gannets, 10 Dunlins, 4 Whimbrels, 1 Common Sandpiper, a few auks, 1 Kittiwake, 1 Common Gull, 15 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 6 Sand Martins & 9 Swallows. Everything flying into the wind. A (the?) Lesser Whitethroat the only migrant revealing itself on the ground in thoroughly miserable condtions.
