South Huish

A very cool and breezey coast walk fromThurlestone to Hope Cove and back this morning with 3 whimbrel sheltering on the muddy shore by the footbridge over South Milton Ley, 3 Sandwich terns fishing offshore, a skulking chiffchaff at South Milton Sands and a winter plumaged grey plover on South Huish Marsh with 2 female teal and a coot being the highlights. It was quite fun to watch the occassional swallow dash past at almost supersonic speed in the strong wind. An oil beetle on the footpath was also a nice find.
