A sweep of the Torbay beaches (Preston, Goodrington and Broadsands) today produced: 11 Black-necked Grebes, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Great Northern Divers, 41 Common Scoter, 1 Wigeon.

At Broadsands at least 6 Cirl Buntings, 1 Firecrest, 1 'eastern' chiffchaff, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 3 Goldcrest, 1 Water Rail, the possible Scandinavian Rock Pipit back again today on the grassy pool behind the beachuts with another similar looking bird, 2 Pied Wagtails and a Meadow Pipit the only petrosus Rock Pipits were on the beach.
