Northam Burrows

A still cold morning on the Burrows today, with a calm sea. A surprise at the mouth of the Taw/Torridge estuary half way between Northam and Braunton Burrows were two Scoter. The first a female Commom, and the other a female/first winter Velvet. Their close proximity to each other allowed good comparisons of size and structure.
