Clennon Valley Ponds, Goodrington

A male ruddy darter at the back of the 3rd pond up from bottom was the best find today, my first for Torbay. Also common darter (1 on same pond), broad bodied chaser, black tailed skimmer, emperor, southern hawker (on the small 4th pond), azure damsel, blue tailed damsel, and small red-eyed damsels still abundant at their usual spot on algal mats at the bottom of the lower pond. A possible white admiral was seen flying among willow trees behind the 3rd pond. Birds included dabchicks, 2 kingfishers and a grey heron.
