Slapton Ley

Great day at Slapton. c300 Common Gulls and 2 Mediterranean Gulls in Ireland Bay.Off the Memorial car park Red-necked Grebe, Black-necked Grebe and 2 Red-throated Divers. On the ley at Torcross 3 male Scaups, 3 m Pochards and the Ring-necked Duck. Also at least 6 Goldeneyes, 6 Wigeons and 15 Teals on the ley. A nice Yellow-browed Warbler in Buddleias and Willows by the ley at Torcross on the main road between the old Chapel and The Old Hannafords Butchers across the road from 'Windfalls'. Calling and showing well this afternoon. To round things off before leaving a Barn Owl hunted the fields just behind the landward side of Torcross viewable from the Duckery.
