Tawny Owl Plymouth

Odd how the brain is slow to recognise absence. A calling Tawny Owl in Lipson in the early hours of this morning made me realise that while they were regular 5 years ago, I have seen/heard none since then

Totally white (leucistic) sparrow(?) today in my Chillington garden.

Totally white (leucistic) sparrow(?) today in my Chillington garden.

My neighbour mentioned that he had seen it last week but this is my first sighting. I have only this very poor phone photo but also a few (equally poor) short phone videos. Colour is a uniform whitish buff and I can’t be sure it’s a sparrow and not a greenfinch or something else. It seems to be a loner and it doesn’t fly quite like a sparrow, and it’s tail seems a bit long to my mind.
