Old Torrington Road Barnstaple

4 more red kites overhead today. The first, mid-morning, headed off NE then 3 one after the other at around 2pm at various heights and all heading E. Lots of green and goldfinches about today as well as a pair of collared doves which have been absent from our patch for many years mostly due to cat predation I think.

The great tit family must have fledged today whilst I was out so sadly don’t know how many young there were. Red kite flew low over the garden at 15.30 and headed off SE.
