Maristow Tavy Estuary

At about 1050 an Osprey flew down the estuary over Maristow Quay.

It was joined by another Osprey that appeared to fly out of Blaxton Wood.  Both birds flew on and were lost from view near Tavy Bridge. The high water was just after 0900, so just approaching two hours ebb when seen.  About 1110 one bird flew back heading upstream over Lopwell. The other bird settled in trees at Blaxton Point for a short time before being driven off by Crows.

Also seen at least 15 Ravens, 6 House Martins over Lopwell (with at least one pair still feeding young in the nest), three Common Sandpipers, one Little Grebe, one adult male Sparrowhawk.
