At the scrape this morning 36 Black-tailed Godwits. Are these new arrivals or some of the flock seen over the winter? Hardly any seen in recent weeks. Over the scrape and Pond 15/20 each of Swallow and Sand Martin. 1 Little Egret. In the reserve a few each of singing Cetti’s and Willow Warbler, plus Chiffchaff and Blackcap. Star bird, however was a smart male Pied Flycatcher, only the second I have recorded there. The previous one was over 10 years ago, which I trapped and read it’s ring number showing that it had been ringed in Wales.
