13.20 this afternoon, on the grassy slope above Baggy Point, a female Whinchat, seen initially on grass path before it flew to a nearby Gorse, where it was clearly seen, my first Devon sighting. It flew off a few minutes later, disturbed by walkers.
The strong gusting wind meant that most bird sightings were fairly brief, but Linnet, Skylark, Goldfinch and Chiffchaff were all heard and/or seen. 3 Swallows moving along the coast later.
