Some impressive winter bird flocks in the fields behind the old HMS Cambridge site. Access from the lane by Princes Cottages or from a footpath on the west side of HMS Cambridge near the pine shelter belt. (Very wet in places).
Wood Pigeon 350+, Chaffinch 150+, Linnet 60+, Goldfinch 30+ Yellowhammer 10, Cirl Bunting 3, Reed Bunting 2.
Also a Firecrest at the top end of Bovisand Lane with a female Blackcap at the bottom end by the holiday park.
