A Curlew Sandpiper showed very well along the beach by the sewage pipe at Wembury this morning (found yesterday by Jenny), feeding in the company of 4 Bar-tailed Godwit and 2 Sanderling.
Also present were Oystercatchers, 2 Curlew, a Common Sandpiper, a Turnstone and 6 Little Egret.
A Wheatear was also seen along the beach but a surprise was a Kingfisher which flew in and landed in the trees on the cliff before being chased off by a Chiffchaff.
