Very cold today on a walk along the coast path at Wembury but very productive.
8 adult Mediterranean Gulls were roosting out on the rocks including a French ringed bird (details awaited). A Fulmar was back on The Mewstone and offshore Kittiwakes, Gannets and a Common Gull were milling around. A Great Northern Diver flew across the Bay before landing on the sea, later it was seen flying up the River Yealm. 2 Razorbills were also feeding close in off the beach.
The Water Pipit was still present along the beach near the sewage pipe, flitty and mobile and chased off at one point by a Rock Pipit.
Finally a pair of Blackcap, a Fieldfare and a Redwing were feeding with around 20 Blackbirds on fallen apples in a Wembury village garden.
