Recorded 38 species. Great day for Lapwings (500 on mudflats and surrounding fields). Curlew numbers on mudflats and in concentrated numbers of a dozen or more in surrounding fields. Redshank and Oystercatcher in great numbers too. Along the wooded stretches of the Tarka Trail, a good sized flock of Redwing with the odd Fieldfare among them at the Fremington end. Other notables were a couple of Bullfinches, a solitary Greenfinch, an immature Goldcrest, several species of tit including Long-Tailed and Coal. At the Fremington Pill, Redshank and Teal dominated. Among them 4 Black-Tailed Godwits were also busy.
