Tide was still quite high on the outward leg so most avian life was on the south shore at Penhill, where we spotted on the water a distant single Brent Goose was in company of 2 late staying juvenile Shelduck. On this bank only one Common Sandpiper was seen until we reached Pottington where about 60 Oystercatchers were roosting on the concrete slope along with 2 Black Tailed Godwits On the return leg we watched as 30 Barn Swallows headed south from Bradiford Reserve over the river. With more shoreline observable now, along with many BHG & a few HG’s we spotted a few Redshank, and a leg-ringed Curlew (L5 on a yellow flag, ringed by WWT as an adult in March 2022 in Worcestershire) which also had a satellite tracker on its back, and a few more Blackwits.
