After seeing a Kingfisher fly downstream from the bridge to the reserve a few day ago, I was even more delighted to see it (or another) in the reserve today. Quite surprising really as the pond is still largely covered in duckweed. Still a few Warblers in song and a delightful day-old Song Thrush chick heading for cover from one of the paths. I ringed three full grown Song Thrushes last Thursday. Perhaps one of them was a parent.
