Dry, cold & windy this afternoon but much better than this morning with the regular intense hail showers. Cycled along the trail to Barnstaple & on the way stopped to have a yatter with June who had spotted a single Lapwing on Bradiford Reserve from her mobile hide. Not seen any Lapwing for some time so could this be the last one to depart this spring? It was lying down to shelter from the brisk cold westerly winds & could have easily been overlooked. Well done June, good spot.
