South Huish Marsh this morning to catch up with the reported Blue Headed Yellow Wagtails, a Sparrowhawk was seen by another birder to take one of the Wagtails just before I arrived. I saw a total of seven birds but other birders counted 8 not including the one seen taken by the Sparrowhawk.
A pair of Cirl Bunting seen on the edge of the marsh, several Cattle Egrets in a field beyond the marsh. Kestrel seen close by.
Good numbers of Yellow Hammer over near Soar
