Soar the morning proved a bit cool & damp but managed: 4 Tree Pipits, 2 Yellow Wagtails, Whinchat, 4 Wheatears, single Sedge & Reed Warblers, 12 Whitethroats, 8 Chiffchaffs, 7 Blackcaps, Goldcrest, Grey Wagtail, Sparrowhawk & a Roe Deer.
On Blaxton Meadow, this afternoon: Knot, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, Common Sandpiper, 10+ Mediterranean Gulls (5+ adults, 2 3rd cy & 3 1st cy), 7 Dunlins, 12 Oystercatchers & a Kingfisher; also redhead Goosander on the river & Sparrowhawk nearby.
