I’ve been at Salcombe for the past 3 days. A male Bar Tailed Godwit in breeding plumage has been present for all of that time, flitting between beaches, constantly being flushed by dogs and people. 2 Eiders (one female and one immature male) are on the estuary, highly mobile but staying together. Swifts, Swallows and HMs all present and the latter 2 seen gathering mud to build nests. Also of note: Firecrest at South Sands, Spotted Flycatcher near Overbecks and plenty of Yellowhammer and Stonechat around Soar.
