50 to 60 Swallows have spent the day continually flying around the farm yard and orchard…….mostly juveniles but at least 12 mature birds.Fabulous sight and flight paths suggest that many could be the birds which breed in the old granary and shippen.(over 60 fledged this year). They perched on the electricity wires at about 4 pm attracting a male Sparrow Hawk and a flock of 150 Goldfinch .Elsewhere on the farm,2 Red Deer hinds and their calves
