I was driving across Dartmoor on the B3357 this morning when I caught sight of a bird that I thought was a Red Kite. I’m very familiar with them from other parts of the country particularly Wales but I’ve only once seen one in Devon.
I stopped the car and was able to confirm my sighting. I had a camera with me but struggled to get focus. I’ve attached the image which is pretty poor but I think it shows the characteristics of the Red Kite.
