Further along the Tarka Trail at the old Yelland power station site comes depressing news …The basement of the old power station where 9 or 10 pairs of Grey Heron nested last year is being filled in , the columns and bushes where the Herons nested have been bulldozed there was also a small nesting colony of Stock doves and Sand Martins nested in the old electric conduits….. Permission was recently granted for 250 houses ….Progress Ay ?……
