A cycle from the church up to the VP and back. Best bird was a Hobby hawking over the Lagoon. Two Little Grebe and a male Tufted on the too.
Usual selection of singing Warblers, with Cetti’s, Reed (3), Chiffchaff and Blackcap. A lone Sedge in Juncus south of Turf too.
20+ Little Egret and 5 Grey Heron. Kestrel, 25+ Swift, 30+ House Martin & 8+ Swallow.
50+ Black-headed Gull back. Also Reed Bunting 2 singing, 2 Linnet & 2 Skylark.
Sadly only one butterfly, sign of the times. Poor national protection and wet spring.
