Thanks to everyone who has posted sightings here. The job of editing posts is undertaken by volunteers and it would help us greatly if all contributors familiarised themselves with the posting rules and guidelines which you can see under the “Bird Sightings” section of this website.
We often have to restrict or amend posts which do not comply. Particular examples have included posting sightings of:-
Goshawk & Peregrine – not allowed at any time of year,
Kingfisher – not allowed April – July, and
Firecrest – not allowed March – July.
Please also restrict your post titles to the site without any species.
Whilst some rules may seem unnecessary at certain sites, they need to apply county-wide and are designed to put the birds’ welfare first.
