A day in part working and in part birding. Started at Matford Marsh. 56 Wigeon, 33 Teal, 28 Shoveler, 24 Mallard, 7 Tufted, 30+ Coot , 23+ Moorhen when include the canal and 2 Little Grebe. Also male Stonechat. 5 Stock Dove and Grey Wagtail.
Further up the Exe at Trew Weir down to Salmon Pool, 6 Coot, 49+ Mallard, 5 Teal, 25+ Moorhen, Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Common Sandpiper, Goldcrest and male Goosander, latter spp just south of Salmon Pool.
