Budleigh Salterton LORP ~ No sign of the reported Osprey but plenty of Grey Mullet to be seen, Kestrel being mobbed by a Rook and a hunting Sparrowhawk were the bird of prey input.
6 Little Egret, Stonechat, 11 Heron, 7 pied Wagtail and one Grey, 4 Stock Dove, Water Rail calling, several meadow Pipit, 15 plus Linnet and larger numbers of Goldfinch, 6 Cetti’s warbler calling around the reserve, 11 pus Moorhen, 10 plus Mute Swan, 2 GSWP and 3 GBBG.
Overlooking the Exe at Exton ~ Green Woodpecker, Dunlin, Redshank, Oyster Catcher, Curlew, GBBG, Little Egret.
Haldon Forest Park ~ a single Hawfinch, Siskin, GSWP and good sightings of Crossbill, two flocks seen of 14 plus and 17 plus birds and numerous views of smaller numbers.
Last evening at South Brent the Barn owl I have heard for the previous two evenings showed well as it flew across my orchard into an out building.
