By the boats at Bassets Pit, on the Taw at Chivenor on a rising tide we counted 94 Redshank also a nice group of 4 Greenshank. Later, further upriver on Ashford Strand were 2 Ringed Plover an unringed Curlew. Numerous Bullfinch ccalling and one fledgling seen. A single Barn Swallow was spotted out over the river, generally heading south.
