Sun and blue skies made for an excellent day’s birding today. Firstly Isley to Yelland where after seeing 2 spoonbills we found 20 turnstones then 50+ curlews, 20 grey plovers, hundreds of dunlin, 100+ lapwing, 5 brent geese, 3 snipe, and lots of oystercatchers, teal and shelduck. Then along Fremington pil we saw a spotted redshank, 2 greenshank but not much else of note. No sign of the avocet and still no ibis
