Three hobbys over the tallest trees seen from the viewing platform at Ireland Bay, Slapton Ley, today at 1300hrs.  One came close to show rufus underparts. Good numbers of house martins and the occasional swift. Also two chiffchaff, a single common sandpiper, 40 plus mute swan at Stokeley Bay two with a cygnet in attendance, plenty of Great-crested grebes, but none with young, tufted duck, mallard, canada geese and cormorants.
