Great White Egret is still about in East Devon and mostly frequenting Blackhill Quarry Ponds where water levels have dropped sufficiently as fish have become easy prey for this bird plus Grey Heron a Kingfisher and tonight a Little Egret. This amazing new habitat created by The Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust, Clinton Devon Estates has become a great new birding area for many to see heathland species, Wildfowl, waders, and many more throughout the seasons. The GWE first discovered 14 days ago by Rupert Ormerod is now roosting on the East Devon Common site. This site needs protecting its a real gem and keeps producing.
