This juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker has been visiting the peanut feeder very successfully, on its own, for a couple of days now. When dad turns up, the youngster seems to have forgotten how to do it and immediately starts with a begging call. Dad obliges straight away and keeps feeding it for as long as the begging continues. A cheeky tactic that pays off well for an easy feed!
