Early morning loop around the marsh was very productive.
On the discovery pool there was 4 Green sandpipers, 1 Wood sandpiper, 2 little ringed plover, 1 Garganey, black tailed godwits, reed warblers, moorhen, teal and mallards.
From turf there was another Green sandpiper amongst the flock of roosting gulls. Also 2 Cattle egret and 1 little egret roosting in the trees.
Around the rest of the marsh we saw 1 kestrel and 2 buzzards. 2 Willow warbler, Sedge warbler, Green and Greater spotted woodpecker were heard calling.
