A cycle down from Exeter today. Highlights were 3 Avocet, 2 Cattle Egret, 9+ Hobbies, 13 Whimbrel, After that it was much the same as recently with lots of singing Reed (22+), Sedge (3), Whitethroat (3), Reed Bunting (6) amongst usual Chiffchaff, Cetti’s and Blackcaps. Male Stonechat too.
Dragonflies are emerging in numbers, 7 Scarce Chasers, 10+ Hairy Dragonfly, 2 Broad-bodied Chasers and 30+ Red-eyed Damselflies.
