A visit this morning along canal bank and from Turf. Nice cake and coffee there.
Ducks on the marsh 600+ Wigeon, 360+ Teal, 45+ Shoveler, 106 Pintail (of which 92 on estuary) and 20+ Mallard. Also 8+ Greylag. In the lagoon were 7 Tufted, 5 Gadwall, 2 Pochard (M, F), F Goldeneye and a Little Grebe. Marsh Harrier 2cy male. (with grey tail), Sparrowhawk
From Turf 390+ Lapwing, 450+ Golden Plover, 440 Avocet, 700+ Blackwit, 500+ Dunlin, 51 Barwit, 10 Grey Plover, 80+ Redshank, 8 Turnstone, 2 Knot, 1 Greenshank & 1 Common Sandpiper. Also 500+ DB Brent Goose, 2M Red-breasted Mergansers, 3 GC Grebe and 68+ Common Gull.
Other bits included Stonechat, 2 Raven and 160+ Curlew mostly on the marsh.
