A cycle down to Turf from Exeter with boys, so birding limited. Best was a Cattle Egret in tree just south of Turf.
From and around on rising tide at Turf, were 320 Curlew, 70+ Blackwit, 18 Redshank, 100+ Dunlin, Breeding Plumage Grey Plover, 120+ Starling, 7 Shelduck (Ad & 6 Juv), Sand Martin and first Common Gull (Ad), I have seen.
On wider marsh M5 south. 30+ Swallow, 2 Kestrel, 25 Mute Swan, 34 Coot, 3 Little Grebe, 4+ Grey Heron.
Purple Heron seen several times, but as usual not by me.
