A walk around Exminster Marsh with Pete Aley. Highlights were 4 Juv Wood Sandpiper, 3 LRP, 2 Green Sandpiper and F/Imm Garganey on Discovery Pool. Also 20 Teal, 2 F/Imm Kestrels, male Kingfisher, 2 Blackwit, a Lapwing and 2 Snipe there.
Female Tufted, 5 Little Grebe and 34 Coot on Lagoon. Cetti’s Warbler on canal bank. Peregrine over marsh from there.
A few Reed Warbler, Blackcap, 6+ Chiffchaff and Juv Willow Warbler on the marsh.
From Turf, 2 (Ad & Juv) Sandwich Tern, 220+ Curlew flew up river as tide dropped and a Barwit with them. 15+ Linnet and a Kingfisher there.
Otherwise single Reed Bunting, single Skylark, a Whitethroat was the best of the rest.
