A morning visit with low tide so no waders to speak of.
Highlight of today was 170+ Sand Martin on the marsh, along with 1-2 Swallow.
Duck numbers were 100+ Teal, 50+ Wigeon, 29+ Shoveler, 3 Gadwall, 16 Tufted (10M, 6F) and 3 Pochard (M, 2F). The latter two on the lagoon. Little Grebe singing on flooded area in front of viewing platform. 17+ Shelduck across marsh.
3rd cy male Marsh Harrier. 6 Chiffchaff (5 singing), 6 singing Skylark, 2 Singing Cetti’s Warbler, 2 Reed Bunting
At least another 8 singing Chiffchaff up along the cycle path back towards Exeter.
