At Turf there were 27 dunlin and 3 ringed-plover. Further up the estuary a small flock of black-tailed godwits and a larger flock of curlew, with a few whimbrel.
On the marshes, near the lagoon 2 hobbies were catching dragonflies. On the flooded scrapes amongst lots of Canada geese 5 ruff were feeding.
