Spring came this morning for me with the first pulse of Willow Warblers (6+) arriving along the river by Belle Isle park and the allotments, with several new Blackcaps also present, and a Dipper singing on the Alphinbrook at Ide. In contrast, up the hill West of Ide, a 50+ flock of Linnets and 2 Redwings were holdovers from Winter, and the regular Goosander pair are still between Trews and St James’ Weirs.
