I have spent this week cycling up and back the Exe river and canal for non birding reasons. Always with my binoculars to hand. Most interesting records have been on Monday 3 Siskin just north of St David’s station, And a Great Crested Grebe on the north section of the canal above the Mill on the Exe.
Yesterday a pair of Goosander just below Trew Weir (reported earlier in the day just above Countess Weir). Also Green Woodpecker in that same area.
Low carbon birding list now 117 for year.
