On today’s excellent Stuart Lines birding cruise highlights were 3 Eider just off the mouth of the estuary, a lone Goldeneye close to the shore at Topsham, a Great Northern Diver in mid-estuary, 10 Red-breasted Mergansers in two separate groups, a Marsh Harrier putting up a mixed flock of 100+ Godwits and not less than 500 Golden Plover very high above Powderham.
