The walk from Harford towards Higher Piles Copse produced the hoped-for Cuckoo, plus Tree Pipit, Garden Warbler and Wheatear. Unusually, no Redstarts, alas.
Belatedly from Exeter, on Friday morning a Sedge Warbler was singing in the grounds of County Hall (!?), and yesterday two Turtle Doves sped North over Belle Isle Park at 0730.
