Last weekend, 22 sites were searched at dawn for roosting Goosanders. All but four sites had at least one, and produced a total of 120 including 50 adult males, down on the 179 found on the January count. The Dartmoor total was 49, and the only sites with >10 were Meeth (40), Avon Dam (15) and Venford (14). Thanks to all who took part.
