Today I took the train to Dawlish, from Exeter Quay. Meeting Mr Davidson on site. 5 Velvet (F/Imm) & 18 Common Scotor, in usual place off Langston Rock. Also Great Northern and Red-throated Divers on sea further east. 8-10 Chiffchaff and 3+ Goldcrest on sunny and calm side of the bushes with associated Tit flock. Otherwise 2 Stonechat, 13 Teal, Grey Wagtail and a male Kingfisher.
Back in Exeter, Trew Weir down to Salmon Pool, were Kingfisher & 11 Coot on Trew Weir. Female Goosander and Grey Wagtail below the weir. Red Kite then flew low over Belle Isle Park, with Great Spotted Woodpecker there too. Finally the same or another F Goosander below Salmon Pool. A good low carbon day out.
